Since Russia’s cruel, coldhearted attack on Ukraine, it has been very difficult for me to concentrate on posting a blog. However, my readers and friends, you can be very sure you are in my many thoughts and prayers. Together, we can spread hope by speaking out and sharing the principle of Step 12.
Step Twelve: Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to others, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

Minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day, week after week, from the comfort of our homes we witness the unbelievable pain the Ukrainians are suffering at the hands of the hate-filled bully from Russia. And we learn from a former Jewish comedian that war is no laughing matter, as brave President Zelenskyy stands tall – leading his beloved Ukrainian brother and sisters in the battle for their very lives.
Those who grew up in a home where an oppressive, addicted parent ruled know the damage a bully can inflict physically and emotionally, but I doubt we can even begin to understand the plight of those in Ukraine today. We can, however, relate to the deep fears and hopelessness.
In searching for a topic for this week’s blog I discovered our valued ally, Australia and its school system celebrate, today, March 18th as a National Day of Action against Bulling and Violence. National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence (bullyingnoway.gov.au)
Thanks, Australia for recognizing the need to take action against bullying and violence at an early age. Now, let’s extend this practice to our families, towns, cities, and countries. Together, let’s take up our arms in the form of prayer and contributions to help those being bullied in war-torn Ukraine and pray for an end to this senseless, and deadly bullying from a dictator.

“Enough! You’ve corrupted justice long enough, you’ve let the wicked get away with murder. You’re here to defend the defenseless, to make sure that underdogs get a fair break; Your job is to stand up for the powerless, and prosecute all those who exploit them” (Psalm 82:4 MSG).
